At Acton Academy Indian Trail, we believe every child has a unique spark waiting to be discovered. Our school is designed to help young learners take ownership of their education, explore their natural strengths, and grow into confident, capable individuals ready for the real world.
We don't follow the traditional model of lectures, worksheets, and one-speed-fits-all classrooms. Instead, we offer a learner-driven environment where children set goals, solve problems, collaborate with peers, and learn at a pace that works for them.
Our mission is simple: to help children become independent thinkers, curious learners, and strong leaders who understand the value of meaningful work and personal responsibility.
We're part of the larger Acton Academy community — hundreds of independently run campuses around the world sharing one learning model — and we're bringing it home to Indian Trail.

Alex Gajewski
Alex is the founder of Acton Academy Indian Trail and brings a decade of experience as a producer with ESPN, where he crafted high-impact stories for national audiences. His background in journalism, creative media, and real-world storytelling shaped his belief that young people learn best by doing — not by memorizing.
Inspired by Acton's mission and driven by his own experience as a parent, Alex set out to build a school where students take ownership of their learning, tackle meaningful challenges, and grow into confident, independent thinkers — a studio culture that values curiosity, resilience, and personal responsibility.
