A Day in the Life
In our studio, learners move through big blocks of work and play inside clear, flexible guardrails. It's a structure that builds real independence — time management, goal setting, and accountability.
The trail through a studio day
Each day is broken into sections that correspond with an overarching session goal. Substantial blocks — not a bell every 40 minutes — give learners enough time to get deeply engaged.
The schedule is flexible to accommodate different learning needs. Heroes can rearrange work blocks and choose from a variety of work options based on personal goals, passions, and commitments.

Learners arrive, socialize, and transition into the day on their own terms.

The community gathers for a Socratic discussion — a story, dilemma, or hard question to reason through together.

Learners set their goals, then work on math, reading, and writing at their own pace toward mastery.

Eating, playing, negotiating games, and solving ordinary social problems — real practice, not downtime.

A learner-driven community
Our young heroes learn in tightly bound communities with extremely high standards of excellence, where self-management and self-governance are celebrated daily. This isn't student government as a decorative extracurricular — self-governance is part of the daily educational experience.
Contract of Promises
Learners create and sign a Contract of Promises describing how each individual will act — and the consequences for violating community norms.
Running Partners & Squads
Younger and older heroes pair up to listen, affirm, set goals, and hold each other accountable, week after week.
Servant Leader Badges
Badges celebrate warm-hearted and tough-minded decisions that build character and strengthen the community.
